Arnold Schwarzenegger´s "Maggie" Trailer

Arnold Schwarzenegger´s latest movie, "Maggie", is about a zombie infection but unlike the typical action film he would have starred in three decades ago, this one looks quite refreshing in the fact that it looks slow-paced and dramatic.

Schwarzenegger plays the character of a worried and caring father looking out for his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) who has contracted a zombie infection and is in urgent need of quarantine.

Zayn Malik Leaves One Direction

There is only one direction for Zayn Malik and it is not anywhere near his bandmates anymore. Malik announced today that he is leaving the boyband through the group´s official Facebook page via a statement which reads:

"My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologize to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."

The four remaining singers also released a statement regarding Malik´s departure:

"We're really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally
respect his decision and send him all our love for the future. The past five years have been beyond amazing, we've gone through so much together, so we will always be friends. The four of us will now continue," the four singers said in a statement. "We're looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour."

The departure comes days after Malik cancelled performances with the band in Manila and Jakarta, and a controversy surrounding a possible infidelity to his fiancée Perrie Edwards.

Are you sad to see Malik go? Is this the beginning of the end for One Direction or will the boy band be able to keep up the success without him?

Few shows on television have drawn such dedicated fans as The X-Files, and we’re ecstatic to give them the next thrilling chapter of Mulder and Scully they’ve been waiting for.”

"Game of Thrones" TV series will spoil future novels

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Just recently Game of Thrones showrunner David Benioff told THR that eventually there will come a day in the not so distant future where the TV series will catch up to the books and end up spoiling stories that have not been published yet in the novels.

“We’ve been talking about this with [author] George [R.R. Martin] for a long time, ever since we saw this could happen, and we know where things are heading,” David stated. “And so we’ll eventually, basically, meet up at pretty much the same place where George is going; there might be a few deviations along the route, but we’re heading toward the same destination.”

Benioff explained: “I kind of wish that there were some things we didn’t have to spoil, but we’re kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. The show must go on…and that’s what we’re going to do.”

What do you guys think? Should the TV show spoil the novels or take on a different approach? Sound off in the comments!

Neil Blomkamp shares new info on upcoming "Alien" sequel

Director Neil Blomkamp (District 9) has recently sat down on Empire´s podcast and shared a bit of info on the upcoming and announced Alien sequel which he is helming.

Blomkamp who is very enthusiastic about his new project talked about the way the film was conceived:

"2014 was a really weird year for me because I usually know quite decisively what I want to do, and in the process of post-production on Chappie, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. I had a bunch of different ideas for different films. My favourite, on a gut instinct, artistic level, was Alien, by a long way."

The Elysium director continued explaining how it all came about:

"If you go back even three or four years, I’ve wanted to make a film in that genre, in that franchise. I’d come up with an idea, and when I met Sigourney (Weaver) on the set of Chappie, I presumed that she would never want to play Ripley again. Rightly or wrongly, I had that in my head. I also didn’t know where you could go with her, given Alien 3 and 4." he said.

"So when I started speaking to her, I just wanted to know more about the process of making the first two films. The first two are the ones that I care about. Then I started to realise there was a whole film – at least a film, if not more – that still contained Ripley, which I was really surprised by."

Blomkamp apparently has a title already decided but would not reveal it as he wants to keep the premise of the movie under wraps for now. However, he did explain how much time he has already invested in the forthcoming sequel:

"So when I went back to Vancouver for 2014 unclear of what I wanted to make, I knew that my artistic compass kept driving me to Alien. Whenever I wasn’t needed on Chappie, I spent time on Alien, to the point where I hired my own concept artist and fleshed the entire movie out, basically. Even then, I still didn’t know if I wanted to do it."

The Chappie director also revealed he did change one aspect of the script which could collide with Prometheus 2 following conversations with fellow director Ridley Scott and producer of the fifth intallment of the franchise.

Are you looking forward to this brand new Alien sequel?
